Having a walk in Samarkand, one cannot miss Restaurant Kishlak. In Uzbek "kishlak" is referred to as an old style neighborhood. Restaurant Kishlak has nothing in common with the oldies, but keeps the secrets of best recipes of traditional Uzbek cuisine.

Kishlak is a spacious restaurant with an 800-seat capacity. Two main halls of the restaurant are located one after another. The way to a large summer hall goes through a 250-seat winter hall. The interior design reminds of the sunny atmosphere of Central Asia. On the right side of winter hall there are several tandirs - national earthenware ovens. Cob walls are covered with traditional utensils like jugs, big plates, and hand-made carpets. The thatched roof of the restaurant perfectly fits into the entire design. On the left side of the winter hall there are ladders taking you to light terraces. The summer hall is also equipped with terraces that will let you enjoy a meal and lovely chat in a good company. Summer hall (or green hall) is quite big and hosts up to 550 persons. Its central part is equipped with fountain and a small pool. Right behind the pool there is a wide stage where live music performances with Oriental dances are given every day.
