Hotel Orient Star

Hotel Orient Star offers guests a unique opportunity to spend their stay in Khiva inside the premises of a theological school built in 1851-1855. The Muhammad Amin-khan Madrasah is a part of the Architectural Museum Reserve of Ichan-Kala and is the biggest madrasah - not only in Khiva, but also in Central Asia. The architecture of the Madrasah is remarkably different from the traditional design of theological schools. The khujras (rooms for the students of the Madrasah) in Muhammad Amin-khan Madrasah consist of two rooms instead of one; moreover, khujras located on the first floor of the building are equipped with loggias looking towards the front of the madrasah.

During renovation, the madrasah was fully equipped and furnished according to modern standards to become a hotel. However, the interior of the mardasah remained almost untouched, except for some restoration. Therefore, the spirit of the past inevitably surrounds guests as they walk along the corridors of Hotel Orient Star. The guestrooms of the hotel are actually placed inside the khujras. Thus, the original details of their interior revive the images of former dwellers that occupied the khujras more than a century ago. This remarkable experience could be compared to time travel.

Despite the original purpose of the premises, after renovation, the Amin-khan Madrasah has been transformed into a modern hotel with a range of excellent facilities and services. The restaurant of the hotel is located in the hall of the madrasah that has been used as an auditorium. For business activities, the hotel offers a conference hall and a business centre. The pleasant staff will make sure that all the guests' needs at Hotel Orient Star are satisfied.

Cancellation Policy:

-To cancel a booking without penalties, the cancellation must be made at least 30 days prior to arrival date. 
-For cancellations made from 25 to 15 days before arrival, penalty is 10% of the accommodation price for one night. 
-For cancellations made from 15 to 5 days before arrival, penalty is 25% of the accommodation price for one night. 
-For cancellations made from 5 to 3 days before arrival, penalty is 50% of the accommodation price for one night. 
-For cancellation made from 3 days to 1 day before arrival, penalty is 100% of the accommodation price for one night.
