Sayfullo Zairov, General Director
Bukhara is a magical city that has acquired a colourful and rich history through the centuries. The host at this hotel is happy to be able to demonstrate the timeless heritage of Bukhara to guests of the hotel. [Read more]Hotel Lyabi House has contributed to tourism by restoring samples of local architecture.
The hotel began as a small bed and breakfast accommodation with only 4 rooms. The main idea of the hotel owner Sayfullo Zairov, was to restore the original house of a rich Jewish merchant, who lived in Bukhara in the 19th century. It took four years for Sayfullo and several skilled masters of traditional architectural practices to restore the original summer terrace and the remarkable guestroom. The architecture was restored using traditional techniques, including natural wood carvings, hand-made stucco (ganch) carving and wall paintings made with the use of natural paints. Today, the guests of the hotel may get an insight into the way of life of rich Bukharian nobility living in the 19th century. The hotel's ayvan and guestroom fascinate guests with their natural colours, elegant geometrical patterns, Hebrew verses and finest antique articles reflecting the talent and taste of the 19th century masters.
