Hotel Lyabi House has contributed to tourism by restoring samples of local architecture.

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:

The hotel began as a small bed and breakfast accommodation with only 4 rooms. The main idea of the hotel owner Sayfullo Zairov was to restore the original house of a rich Jewish merchant, who lived in Bukhara in the 19th century. It took four years for Sayfullo and several skilled masters of traditional architectural practices to restore the original summer terrace and the remarkable guestroom. The architecture was restored using traditional techniques, including natural woodcarvings, hand-made stucco (ganch) carving and wall paintings made with the use of natural paints. Today, the guests of the hotel may get an insight into the way of life of rich Bukharian nobility living in the 19th century. The hotel's ayvan and guestroom fascinate guests with their natural colors, elegant geometrical patterns, Hebrew verses and finest antique articles reflecting the talent and taste of the 19th century masters.
