The building occupied by Hotel-Boutique Sasha & Son used to be the house of a wealthy Bukharian merchant back in the 16th century. Like most of the other wealthy houses in Bukhara, this house was built according to traditional Bukharian architectural canons and had traditional Uzbek décor. In 1996, the house was restored by the owner of hotel Sasha and Son, reviving the splendour of the traditional architecture and décor. Famous local craftsmen worked on the restoration of the building to retain the elegance of the original architecture and interiors. As a result of their work, Hotel-Boutique Sasha & Son has acquired an irresistible charm, attracting many tourists from all over the world. Another charming feature of hotel Sasha and Son is the traditional courtyard that has a carved ayvan (terrace) and a refreshing garden. The hotel is located close to the Lyabi Khauz Complex in the centre of the old town in Bukhara. Guests of the hotel will find that the major historical monuments of Bukhara are just a walk away from the hotel.
